Learning to Love

I have to say Leila Lacey has become one of my go to authors for the quality of books that she writes. Charisma (Char) is a plus size lady that had to learn to love her curves. The one man she loved allowed someone else to hurt her and it took ten years for her to come home. and oooo does it start to get funny. You meet the matriarch who loves her children but isn’t afraid to speak her mind damm the reaction of the group the best friend from LA that comes in and the sister she came home for ( who happens to be the hero’s sister!!) bring in the town tramp and let the snapping begin!!!! a secret from the past comes to light so all can be vilified or vindicated. Love the book !! Don’t read at work because they will be looking at you crazy when you burst out laughing at random moments in the story. Great Job Leila!! Where is the next one??

I Was Drawn Deeply Into the Pages of This Story

Leila Lacey has once again created an accomplished and self assured curvy girl who has managed to come into her own despite having some heart breaking origins. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I will just say that I was drawn deeply into the pages of this story as I waited to see if Charisma would be able to tear down the walls that her past hurts built up in her in order to give love with Gabriel a chance. The journey along the way was filled with both joyful and sad moments, monumental revelations, and some questionable decisions on the part of both Char and Gabe. However by the end, the tale reached a satisfying conclusion. This was a fast paced and entertaining read, and I highly endorse it.

LEILA DOES IT AGAIN

Received an advanced copy. So happy I did! This book is another homerun from Leila Lacey. I can count on her to me make laugh, gasp, cry and swoon within every book. Char and Gabe are very real and likable characters that you feel like you’ve met and can relate too. Don’t put this book done until I finished it. Ps. Glenda needs her own book!!
